Real Discontent, Not Manufactured

During the last election, I saw a tiny group of people assembled in San Fransisco and heard on the news that it was "hundreds", supporting B.O. (B.S.). They spent millions of dollars to bus people and pay them to attend Democrat events. The signs were professionally made and the marchers were represented as a grass roots movement in favor of "hope and change."

The tables have turned and the Dems don't like it! They seem to think they own the protest marches and assume that all protests are as fraudulent as their own. Newsflash! The TEA Party people really are a grass roots movement. I know this because I'm one of them. We may email each other with suggestions and all set TEA Parties for the same day, all across the country, but there is no central organizing group like ACORN in charge of it. It's all citizens who have had enough of governmental abuse.

The Democrat accusations only prove that they are judging everyone else by their own pathetic lack of standards.

Making a Backfire Look Like Success

Only the government would try to turn a huge mistake into a success. The Cash for Clunkers boondoggle has resulted in sales for Ford and Toyota instead of GM (Government Motors). The "clunkers" are taking lots of energy to be destroyed instead of being resold or donated to charities.

After wasting a billion dollars on this trash, they want more and more. Isn't it great? The same people who are tossing billions down the drain on all their other failed programs now want to manage health care.

It's like hiring a schizophrenic radical Muslim to fly the jet you have to travel on to New York! Is he going to hit a building, the ground or the runway?

Out with the Old, In with the New

Remember the story of Aladin's Lamp? That was what the lamp seller said. "Old lamps for new." That seems to be the philosophy of the new administration, doesn't it?

Out with our old cars and they'll give us new ones. We abandon the Constitution and they're already busily creating another one that reads like a Marxist manifesto. Out with the old morality and in with... uh... no morality at all.

The new health care trash basically comes down to "out with the old folks and in with new regulations."

Out with God and in with Green is another great favorite they're praising. This is the worst of them all. Our freedoms come from God, not from government, but you'd never know it to listen to the Democrats. They have conveniently forgotten that all the Founding Fathers were very religious men. Not perfect, certainly, but men of deep faith who built this country on that faith and wrote the rules in accordance with it.

That's not progress at all. That's the new way of sinking us into the old abyss of misery that begat the founding of this country to begin with.

"Judge Not, Lest Ye Be Judged"

I have two Pastor friends. One of them was sending out a "verse of the day". I enjoyed getting them and made comments when the Spirit moved me to do so. He sent me one that amazed me and I had to comment. It didn't go over well.

"Judge not, lest ye be judged" was the verse, but his interpretation of it was disturbing, to say the least. His verse of the day always came with his own comment, and this one really surprised me. He thinks the verse means that we aren't allowed to consider any behavior bad and to never be "judgmental" regardless of what we see happening. He thinks Christians should never take a stand against evil!

We argued politely for a few replies and he told me that since I hadn't provided any Scripture to support my position, I must be wrong. So I contacted my other Pastor friend and asked him what he thought. He immediately replied with a series of quotes that clearly proved my case. The first Pastor hasn't spoken to me since...

Christians were slave owners, true. But Christians also led the fight to free the slaves. If things had been done his way, we'd still have slavery. Bishop Roncaldi rescued hundreds (if not thousands) of Jewish children from the Nazi's during World War 2, by forging passports for them and saved their lives. But had my Pastor friend been there, he would have cautioned the Bishop against being "judgmental". Bishop Roncaldi, by the way, later became Pope John XXIII. Today we have another terrible wrong to deal with. Abortion. My Pastor friend apparently considers it "above his pay grade" to care whether babies (Gods most innocent creatures and special gifts) are being slaughtered on a horrifying scale. Much like Dr. Tiller's Pastor, perhaps.

My other Pastor friend, for whom I have great respect, is willing to take a stand against evil and speak out. If Christians permit evil to continue when they could stand against it, they are standing against God.

Clinton Goes to North Korea

Kim Jong (mentally) Ill has two American citizens in his grubby little paws. So who do they send to finalize the deal? Bill (the Zipper) Clinton! Does he hope to make some time with the young ladies on their return trip? Hillary sent him, instead of someone more qualified, like Bill Richardson, or going herself. I wonder why?

Maybe Kim Jong (mentally) Ill will release the ladies and keep the ex-prez...? Wouldn't that be a shame! That would be some bargaining chip, wouldn't it? I can hear the conversation between Hillary and B.O. (B.S.) if that happened...

B.O. (B.S.): Well, there's nothing we can do (sigh). We'll have to back off and give North Korea whatever they want.

Hillary: Why? Let's nuke them and teach them all a lesson!

B.O. (B.S.): O.K.

Vaccinations for Everything

In preparation for a pandemic of the Swine Flu (H1N1 virus), they're making lots of a new vaccine. The flu seems to strike the very young and some pregnant women, as well as people who are in poor health.

I remember how my mother got her shot every year and wound up hospitalized within a matter of days from the flu she'd been vaccinated against. I never took the shots and didn't catch it (knocking on wood!). What I don't get is why a pregnant woman would risk herself and her baby by being given a supposedly benign dose of anything that would put them in danger of dying from it.

It's like the new vaccine to keep women from getting cervical cancer. It's given to young girls and doesn't prevent all forms of the disease. Personally, I believe that regular Pap Smears are more effective that getting the shot and dealing with it's side effects. Not all women get cervical cancer! I did, but nobody else I know has had it.

These new drugs and cures can have side effects that are worse than the original ailment. My father-in-law, for example had to take a grocery bag filled with all his "meds" after trusting doctors. He took a pill to cure his back ache, then another to cure the side effects of the cure. He developed new problems for every one that was "solved" until he finally started having seizures! The vaccines he always took left him sick and dealing with more side effects. He was 78 1/2 when I found out what was happening to him. He could barely walk and used a walker to get around. It took about three months to get him off all the "meds" and he was able to get around under his own steam. The doctor-created infirmities had made him reclusive and afraid to go out in public. Now he spends time with family and friends and has a life again.

I'm not saying that you should never see a doctor. But do a little research beforehand and find out if there isn't maybe an herbal supplement that will do the job. Books like Medicinal Nature by Manda Spring can offer good guidelines.

If the "Health Care" boondoggle gets passed, you'll be in safer hands with an herbalist than bureaucrats.

My Rotten Little Dog

Due to sinus problems, I lost my sense of smell several years ago. Sometimes it's a blessing and sometimes it's a frightful curse. I have a feeling tonight will be one of the curses...

Everyone who has visited me in the last few days has commented that there's the smell of something dead under my front porch. Oh goody... NOT. A little while ago, I caught her coming out from under the porch. It's pretty close to the ground and I thought we had all the gaps filled in so she couldn't get in, but apparently the cat has a way in and Stink Pot followed her. I really hope she didn't roll in whatever smells so bad, but I won't find out until someone else tells me.

The worst of it is that the dog sleeps in my bed, so if she stinks, I will, too. And so will the house and the bedding, and everything else she touches.

I'll bet you didn't think I could make this political... but I can!

The voters lost their sense of smell before the last election and couldn't detect the stench of the death of our freedoms. Those of us who could smell it will be pointing it out to the others... but the reek is already stuck to us all.
