Two Billion More
This "good for the environment" trash is ticking me off, too. How is having hundreds of thousands of crushed cars going to help the environment? Maybe all the new junkyards will be called "green" and solve the problem of both jobs and environment at the same time. That's a Democrat move if I've ever heard of one!
Another Enormous Waste
"Cash for Clunkers" is their latest form of insanity. They went through almost a billion dollars in four days. Wow, that's even quick for them, huh? They're so busy pouring our tax money down every drain they can find on crazy schemes that are doomed to fail because of poor planning (or no planning at all) that they don't have a clue how to stop it.
July was a big month for car companies, even before "Cash for Clunkers" started. If, instead of dumping all that money on the car companies earlier, couldn't they have just sent out checks to the taxpayers? More people would have bought cars, more dealers could have stayed in business, more people would have kept their jobs at every level of the automobile industry.
Since the latest foolishness is such a failure, they'll be taking more money from the "porkulus" project (probably not from research into why pigs stink, of course) and forget more of those "shovel ready" jobs that didn't exist to begin with.
If they'd given OUR money back to us, instead of blowing it on their pet pork, the economy would have started recovering a long time ago.
Does anyone in their right mind expect the government to be able to manage their health care any better than they've done anything else?

Post Racial, My Rear End!
Does anyone actually think for half a second that if the domestic terrorists had been from the KKK they wouldn't be looking at 20 years in prison? Post racial, indeed...
Beer and Prejudice
Look, I don't care who B.O. (B.S.) invites over as his guests. It is after all (unfortunately) his house now. But imagine if President Bush had been caught with a beer in his hand? Remember the time he was "caught" on camera, taking a sip of a beer at a brewery? The media morons went ballistic! After all, he got a ticket for drunk driving, 30 odd years ago!
Now B.O. (B.S.) has cocktail parties in the White House and beer on the lawn and everyone thinks it's just ducky. Quack, quack!
Aren't double standards fun?

Young Man's Burden
I'm not as worried about the young generation as some folks are, I guess. My grand nephews are doing a great job of defending our country. My grand daughter is a spectacular person, too. My grandson is going to turn out very well, indeed. The country and the world will be in good hands with kids like these. My adopted grandson is a fine young man who has great things in store for him, too. I have lots of friends in the same generation and their prospects all look good, too.
My own generation was a mess. Sex, drugs and rock n roll didn't make them smarter. And look who's running the country into the ground? Not all of us were idiots, of course. But there were enough of them to give us all a bad name. I hope the new generation does better and acts smarter than mine did. They are off to a good start.
Equanimity and Poise?
Professor Gates made it a race issue and got his tail arrested for being obnoxious. B.O. (B.S.) made it worse by running his face after admitting that he didn't know all the facts. And now he's invited both the officer and Prof. Gates to the White House to drink some beer and play nice. President Bush would have never have done something so ridiculous without the whole country going wild.
B.O. (B.S.) makes normal people want to gag. How can he get away with all the crappola he pulls? 2012 is coming and he can figure out how to deal with unemployment.

Two Days Late
So, has anyone considered what the B.O. (B.S.) "healthcare" garbage will mean to even young people? It will start eliminating older people by denying medical care if the governing Czar and board decide that your life isn't cost effective. But what about kids with serious medical problems? They'll be removed as well, folks. Down Syndrome kids, those with MS or Cerebral Palsy, autistic children, those with brain damage from accidents... the list is much longer, but you get the idea. How would you like to be the parent of a child with medical problems and be told that since your son or daughter doesn't have a high earning future they won't be entitled to life saving treatments? Imagine watching your child die because the government had decided it wasn't worth saving? That's eugenics for you. A group of monsters gets to decide who lives and who dies. That's Obamacare. Maybe they'll decide that certain races or ethnicity or background don't qualify as "productive" and find ways to eliminate them, too. They already are, you know...
Planned Parenthood has lots of abortion clinics in poor neighborhoods and kills a horrifying number of black babies every year. They also routinely kill children with Down Syndrome and other genetic problems. Kids with FAS (Fetal Alcohol Syndrome) are targeted, too. I have a grand daughter and a grand niece with that condition. Why should any child be killed because one or both parents were irresponsible?
It's too bad that so many morons were caught up in the "hope and change" trash. They'll no doubt have plenty of time to regret their foolishness... along with those of us who were paying attention.

Hero Being Shafted
Rather than have his vehicle impounded and trying to get it back in a few days, he told the police to leave it where it was, because his parents were on their way. It wasn't more than a couple of hours before they arrived. He was released and when they got to his truck, the window had been smashed out and everything he owned was gone. His clothes, his guitar, his uniforms, camera, cell phone, deed to his home, personal papers... all gone.
The rotten skunk who robbed him should have to go to Iraq and get shot at a few times like he did. Robby has earned everything he had, except being victimized by a nasty little thief. He now has to worry about having his identity stolen and losing his home.
This really ticks me off!!
Nevada Story
A young man moved to a small Nevada town to work in the mine. He bought a trailer (small mobile home). When he came home one night, he found that the only door was frozen shut. He used a screw driver to chip away the ice so he could get into his home. He was immediately arrested, of course.
No one would listen to him when he tried to explain what he was doing. He went before the local judge and was asked for his plea. When he said "Not guilty," the judge had him sent back to his cell. A month later, he was brought before the judge again, asked for a plea, and again said "Not guilty." After another month behind bars and no sign of a lawyer, he went before the judge again and this time another inmate had advised him to plead "Guilty," which he did.
"Why did you try to break into that trailer?" The judge asked after the Guilty plea.
"Because it was my home and the door was frozen shut," he replied.
"Oh," said the judge. "Well, I guess you can go home now."
There was no racism involved, since there were no "people of color" involved. The President didn't make any smart remarks about it. It made no headlines. But the young miner was certainly treated worse than Professor, wasn't he?

Just Sign Here...
There is a pledge being passed around the "hallowed" halls of Congress that no further legislation will be signed without first being read. 62 Republicans have signed it and no Democrats. There's a surprise, huh?
Imagine if anyone had actually read the TARP trash or the "porkulus" garbage before signing it! No one with a brain, a conscience or the desire to be re-elected would have signed it.
When did our legislators become rubber stamps for thieves? Last November when we elected the biggest thief to ever sit in the Oval Office, that's when.

O.K., So I'm Hooked...
I used real fruit juice to make them for my kids when they were young. Once in awhile they were stuck with Kool Aid Popsicles, but usually it was either apple juice, orange juice (or grape), sometimes lemonade, sometimes the juice from canned fruits that wound up on the table, surrounded by jello. But always, the very essence of summer flavor was Popsicles. Oddly enough, for me, it still is!
Now atch some dippy Democrat find something wrong with them!
Pet Peeves
The arrogance that comes with a life-time appointment can be disgusting. After a few years, they get the idea that they can do no wrong and are infallible. Listen to Ruth Bader Ginsberg for a few minutes and it becomes crystal clear. They are accountable to no one, answerable to no one, and consider themselves above the law. Activist judges can change the law to suit themselves, and have (to the detriment of the country) more than once. Supreme Court Justices need term limits as much as Senators and Congressmen do.

A Little Matter of Ethics
The fertility doctor that impregnated her took her word that she was 55 and never bothered to verify it. He needs to lose his medical license and pay for the support of the twins and any other children he helped to procreate in senior citizens.
What's wrong with the medical profession, anyway? All the noise about "healthcare reform" while invitros are being done on the Italian lady and the Octo-mom at the same time millions of babies are killed every year is making me sick. What ever happened to the Hippocratic Oath? "First, do no harm," was the guiding philosophy at one time. Now the philosophy is "charge a fortune and do as much harm as possible."
How about reforming healthcare by refusing to treat illegals (except for extreme emergencies), no more abortions, and invitro for only those who are young enough to raise the babies? Not to mention invitro that results in 14 kids for a welfare mother, many of whom have medical and developmental problems that will ultimately cost the tax payers a bundle for the rest of the children's lives.
I'm not suggesting that we require more government intervention, except the passage of ethics reform, and that should come from the medical community. In Massachusetts, for example, people over a certain age are denied dialysis. Other life-saving treatments are regulated to conform to some bureaucrat's idea of who is worth saving and who is not. Talk about a eugenics program, huh?
Remember when B.O. (B.S.) was talking about his "white grandmother" who died shortly before the election? She was diagnosed as terminal, and still had hip replacement surgery shortly before she passed on. He talked about our healthcare system being bad and how we need European methods to "fix" it. European methods would have included refusing her any treatment for the terminal illness and not giving her the hip replacement. But that's what he wants? Of course, just not for his own family.

We All Have Regrets...
I don't remember what time of year it was, but I was about 12 years old at the time and we were going to L.A. to visit my aunt and uncle. The traffic was at a standstill and I was sitting in the back seat of our car (my parents were in the front). I looked at the surrounding vehicles and saw a limo beside us. I'd never seen one up close before. I must have been staring for several minutes, when the rear window slowly lowered and there he was. The person I idolized and would have given anything to meet!
He smiled at me and waved. I smiled and waved back. We made faces at each other in a friendly way, both of us laughing. I tried to get my parent's attention, but they were talking about something and ignored me. I was afraid to break the magic of the moment by yelling or losing eye contact with him.
All too soon, the traffic started to move again. He blew me a kiss and waved goodbye. I returned the gesture. His window was still going back up when I got my parent's attention and told them who I'd been visiting with. I don't think they believed me, but they did see the limo.
Many years later, my husband and I were in San Fransisco, wandering around Fisherman's Wharf when we passed the Wax Museum. In the front window was a statue of the greatest entertainer who ever lived, with a black wreath. He had died that morning and the museum was doing a tribute to him...
I'm still boggled when I hear that someone else is being given the title of the greatest entertainer of all time. Because there was only one Sammy Davis, Jr.

Big Storm!
The reason I'm boring you with this is to illustrate the reality of "climate change." Our climate changes with every season, folks. We don't call the government, hysterical, begging them to raise our taxes to make summer storms go away, do we? Or offering "carbon credit" bribes to criminals like Algore to prevent excessive snowfall in the winter. Perhaps we should try to change the colors of autumn leaves and spring flowers? It would make as much sense as spending billions of dollars of taxpayer money to change something over which we have no control to begin with.
Being good stewards of the Earth is important. Falling for a con game in dumb.

A Good Question from Al Franken?
Abortion is NOT in the Constitution. The IRS is NOT in the Constitution. Welfare is NOT in the Constitution. Universal healthcare is NOT in the Constitution. Taxes are in the Constitution, but ONLY the taxes necessary to run the minimal government that the Constitution writers expected. Nowhere in the Constitution does it say that the government can take over businesses, either. Or banking.
If we had stayed with the original rules and given equal OPPORTUNITY to everyone, we would not be in the pickle we're having to deal with today. If we don't return to the basics, the pickle will only grow until it swallows us.
Simple Questions...
Death is defined as the absence of brain waves and heartbeat. She agreed with that after a little waffling. When it was pointed out to her that a pre-born child has a heart beat at 14 days and brain waves before the third month of gestation, she couldn't say that the baby was alive. She likes abortion and proved it today.
When asked if people had the right to defend themselves, she weaseled and waffled all over the place, unable to give an answer. She likes gun control and she proved it today.
When asked if she were a racist, due to her remarks (made repeatedly) about wise Latina women being better able to make decisions than white men, she denied it. Her replies made her look ridiculous and dishonest.
Well? What did you expect? B.O. (B.S.) to appoint an honest person for anything?
One Loud, Clear Voice
This should bring the pimple to a head. It will be fought through the courts until actual proof of where B.O. (B.S.) was born is either provided or he is removed from office. All the turkey had to do was what American citizens have to do all the time... produce a birth certificate. He shouldn't have had a problem with it. My birth certificate is sitting on my desk. Where is his?
This officer has done something truly courageous and deserves a medal!
The next problem we will be facing, when B.O. (B.S.) is finally dragged off to the prison where he belongs, we'll be stuck with Obiden as president. There's a pretty picture of our future, huh?

One Less Calf
There's a political point to this, honest! The old saying, "You have to spend money to make money," is true. Considering where we live, the only way to make the money is with livestock. We have some pigs now, too. But if you invest in something and take good care of the investment, it should pay off. Whether it's livestock or stock market, and investment is a hedge against hard times to come.
Compliments of B.O. (B.S.) and his "brilliant strategies" for bankrupting the country as fast as possible, we all need to find ways for survival. Even if it's making sure your propane tank is as full as possible before winter sets in, or stocking up on canned goods, or doing some weather proofing, we can all do something to protect us from the hard times that this disastrous economy will bring.
Before the "stimulus" (Porkulus) trash and the insane bailouts, the economy would have started to right itself within a few months. Now it will last for years, because of all the pork projects and massive waste that we've had forced on us. Are we ever going to learn our lesson and not allow this to happen again?
Until we learn not to elect idiots that want to rob us of everything we have, we should all be taking measures to survive the mess we're stuck with.
Jihad School
The "school" is now planning to expand and the Commonwealth of Virginia is actually considering it! WHAT? It's no secret that there are several terrorist training camps here in the USA. Two guys of Somali ancestry started their training here and are now happily plotting to kill us in Afghanistan. Another one was missing for a year or so, until his parents saw pictures of him (taken after he was dead)on the news. Maybe he didn't study hard enough in his American Jihad training school...
What's wrong with us? How can we allow avowed enemies to have free rein in our country while they plot and plan to destroy us? If the terrorists manage to take over, kill more Americans and do their worst, we have no one to blame but ourselves. Those training camps should be shut down and all the inhabitants arrested immediately. The jihad schools should be closed. Mosques should be monitored to be sure they aren't preaching hate and insurrection. If we don't take some serious steps in our own defense, they'll win and we'll get to live under Shariah Law.
Czar Swapping
Don't worry too much, though, his replacement is already there! We won't have to be Car Czar-less. The new guy is Ron Bloom who was a union executive in the steel (maybe that should be spelled steal...) industry. He's probably every bit as ignorant as Rattner was. And unqualified...

All the Merry Caveats
It's like the wonderful world of politics, folks. You vote for "hope and change" and get to spend the next for years "hoping" there's a way to get rid of the "changes" that are killing the country. The feel-good thrill of voting for a "new" candidate came with the side effects of a devastated economy, socialism and more trouble than anyone who cast their ballot for B.O. (B.S.) could have imagined. Too bad he didn't come with a warning label, isn't it?
RINO's and CINO's
Republican philosophy requires fiscal responsibility, small government, a pro-life position, and strict adherence to the Constitution. There are other things, but those are at the top of the list. There are several people who like to call themselves Republicans without following the precepts of that philosophy. They should either be what they pretend to be or join the party that has none of those constraints upon their voting or behavior. Specter, Snow and Collins leap to mind...
What's even worse and more unconscionable are the CINO's. They attend Mass every Sunday and present themselves as being religious while defiling everything the Catholic Church stands for. That's not to denigrate other Christian churches and their pro-life positions. But the most famous of the CINO's are Catholics, the Kennedy family, John Kerry, Nasty Pelosi, and too many more to mention. They violate everything the Church (and Christianity in general) stand for while pretending to be people that they are clearly not.
I'm a big believer in standing on principle and the phonies make me sick. The very idea that any of the Kennedys or others previously mentioned can get away with their despicable hypocrisy is too wrong for words. They shouldn't be allowed inside a church, much less be able to use that church as a crutch to garner votes. We all have to answer for what we do, and those people will have a lot of answering to do to the Greatest Judge. The ACLU won't help them a bit.
Marble Orchards
What happened at the cemetery in Chicago is even beyond my imagination. How four people could do so much damage to so many others is obscene. The logistics alone are boggling! Imagine having to do DNA testing on hundreds of remains in order to return them to their own graves! Then what about those who were illegally buried in those graves? They have to be moved elsewhere. The number of families that have been harmed is astounding.
Bernie Madoff stole huge amounts of money from people who trusted him and was "rewarded" with 150 years in prison. These four people at the Chicago cemetery have stolen the peace of mind of so many grieving families that they should have the same sentences as Madoff. Lock them up and throw away the key!
This case will ultimately be tried and then, probably, be sent from court to court until it reaches the top. I can't even imagine the exact term they'll use for this crime (or series of crimes) fraud, theft, grave-robbing, maybe more... It will truly be a landmark case that will linger on our collective minds for years to come.
I'm not sure if the Constitution even mentions such a crime or how it will be adjudicated. But I hope the "wise Latina woman" will either go by the law or stay out of it. I don't want to hear about her "empathy" for the criminals. Will Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton show up to plead for the perpetrators? Or defend the victims? They may have a little problem turning it into a racial incident, since pretty much everyone involved is black. Maybe just this once, the letter of the law will apply instead of the usual mountain of distractions. It would be nice.

Affirmative Action Baby?
Think about it. Having racial equality is a noble idea. As Dr. King said, people should be judged by the content of their character not the color of their skin. He was not a racist. He was a great American. He would have been horrified by Affirmative Action. It is the ultimate racism, assuming that people of color aren't capable of doing well on their own.
If you are facing brain surgery, do you want an Affirmative Action surgeon who scored too low on all the tests to get through medical school? Would you like to be wrongly accused of murder and have as your defense attorney someone who was pushed through law school because of their ethnicity, or someone who knew what they were doing? Justice Clarence Thomas calls Affirmative Action a crime that ruins the lives of people of color.
We still don't have a clue how B.O. (B.S.) got into those fancy schools, folks. Was he allowed in because he wasn't an American citizen? Is that where his scholarship came from? He was, after all, half Kenyan and nobody knows where he was born... except his grandmother who said clearly that he was born in Kenya, and she was there. His family was supposedly of modest means and Ivy League schools are just a little pricey. Did he learn anything while he was studying "constitutional law"? Obviously not, since he disregards the Constitution at every possible turn.
Sonia Sotomayor is a lot like B.O. (B.S.) folks. She has "empathy" but no clue of what the Constitution clearly states. She wants to legislate from the bench and help B.O. (B.S.) rule with an iron fist. She will undoubtedly be in favor of removing the 22nd Amendment and allowing him to become "dictator for life". The bill is already in the works...
As we struggle with new taxes and new rules and suffocating governmental interference, make sure you thank everyone you know who voted for B.O. (B.S.. I will.
Racial Politics
I don't care what anybody says, B.O. (B.S.) was elected for one reason only. He's half black. Period. He wasn't (and still isn't) qualified to run a Burger King, much less a country. He manages to prove this every day by breaking campaign promises, filling his cabinet with criminals, lying constantly, shoving bills through and pretending they work, and gallavanting all over the place at our expense. His selfishness and excesses are becoming legendary.
Now he has shown us a Supreme Court nominee who will undoubtedly be approved for one reason only. She's Hispanic and female. Period. Oh, she's a racist (as he is) and she approves of abortion and gun control (as he does), but since she is Hispanic, everyone will be afraid to vote against her because she is a "woman of color". Her racism, her decisions being reversed, her positions being unpalatable will mean nothing compared to her race. There is very little doubt that she will be approved. Only one thing could remove all doubt whatsoever... If she could prove that she's an illegal alien. Now that would make her a shoe-in! Maybe she should refuse to show a birth certificate... Hey it worked for B.O. (B.S.) didn't it?
One Stimu-Less
Let's think about this for a minute, O.K.? He was so desperate and frantic to get it shoved through and wouldn't let anyone read the whole thing beforehand. (That's becoming the ear mark of this pathetic administration, folks. That and the criminals...) Remember how urgent it was to have the "shovel ready" projects get started to create new jobs? The 8% unemployment was so terrible we had to let him cram the thing through to keep it from getting higher. We were warned that it would climb to 10% if we didn't shut up and let him have his way. Remember all these things?
So it seems that he's bragging about having created 150 thousand new jobs! Isn't that just ducky! I haven't heard him running his face about the half a million jobs that are being lost every month since the "porkulus" went through. He's still trying to blame President Bush for everything and it's not working as well when people start realizing that it's so much worse now than when President Bush left office. B.O. (B.S.) owns this economic disaster, after all he created it. So much for his campaign promises about transparency, right?
They say that the definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing the same way and expecting different results. Since B.O. (B.S.) has already proven that he qualifies for that title, how can anyone believe for a single minute that he won't jam another "porkulus" down our throats by inventing another "emergency"? Anyone heard of the "Crap and Trade" garbage?
He can afford to pretend there won't be another such crime against the taxpayers, because there's already one in the works. Think about it for a minute...
In Boston, the zoo might be closed and the animals killed because there isn't enough money to keep it going. The Mass. governor says they can't afford to let them live. So we'll pay 16 million bucks to rescue marsh mice in San Fransisco to please Nasty Pelosi, and we can pay for turtle crossings in Florida, and we can cough up the cash to figure out why pigs stink, but we have to see captive zoo animals killed to save money? Where are PETA and the Democrats? PETA is silent, and the Democrats are responsible for this travesty. Anyone surprised?

The North on the Fourth
The old sleight of hand, folks. Here, see what my right hand is doing (while I poke you in the eye with my left!) This has become a dangerous world. When a tinhorn dictator can expect to damage a more advanced country, it gets even more dangerous. And with no spinal cord in the White House to object, it's only going to get worse.
It's possible that the UN will send them a stern (and worthless) note of displeasure, but that's about all the consequences that Kim Jong (mentally) Ill will ever face. One of these days there will be another attack. Anyone who wants to do us damage is learning quickly that we aren't going to do anything about it if they do. We are becoming an open target with no consequences and the bad guys are paying attention. They are preparing while B.O. (B.S.) is traveling around the world, spouting platitudes.
The only question is, will he drop us back to the stone age or will an enemy get to do it first?
Arrrggghhh!!!
He'll be touring a slave ship later and undoubtedly finding ways to blame us for slavery, while forgetting that it was black people who kidnapped other black people and sold them.
This whole speech is such a crock! Everything he is talking about to improve Africa (and Ghana in particular) turn out to be things that are no longer allowed to the people of America. Of course, he has to jabber about "Climate Change", too. You'd almost think he believed his own garbage.
Sorry, I can only take so much before I throw up. Urp...
B.O. (B.S.)
Remember, during the campaign, when nobody was allowed to use the name Hussein even though it was his middle name? It was considered offensive. John McCain jumped all over one of his own supporters for daring to use the word! So, when I have to mention the new president, I just use his initials B (as in Barrak) O. (as on Obama). I didn't name him and it isn't my fault that his initials are comical.
The reason I always follow B.O. with (B.S.) is because his real, legal name is Barry Soetero. Again I didn't name him and his initials are not my fault, even if they're funny and accurate.
JFK, FDR, and LBJ didn't get offended when their initials were used, so B.O. (B.S.) shouldn't either. Simple.
Puffing Away
Now they want to force the military to give up their cigarettes. There's a lot of nerve for you! It's not like they're risking their lives for the rest of us, is it? What kind of an idiotic stuffed skirt would deprive our service personnel of having LEGAL cigarettes? What ever happened to the rights and responsibilities that we used to have? Is the government now in charge of every detail of our lives? Can they tell us when to sleep, what to eat and how often we can visit the bathroom? Oh, that's right, they are trying to do all these things...
I have two grand nephews in the US Army (one of them smokes, I know. Not sure about the other one.) And my grand daughter is a US Marine, stationed in Okinawa. I don't know if she smokes or not, but if they want to they should have the right to. The government shouldn't be able to reject recruits because they smoke. The military would shrink dangerously if they did.
Is that maybe the reason? B.O. (B.S.) wants to have his own army of street thugs that's bigger and better armed than our military. He's bragged about it! Does he want to cut down the number of people eligible for military service by putting more stupid restrictions on them? Nothing he could do would surprise me a bit.
Suspicious Minds
When you get a creepy feeling about a person or a situation, it may just be paranoia... unless there really is someone out to get you. In that case, it's God's way of telling you to be careful. We both fell victim to someone who was not what they pretended to be. We both had a bad feeling about this person from the beginning but decided to be trusting instead of cautious. I've pretty much made a career of being gullible... and paid for it many, many times.
So, here I am... ready to tackle the world again and yell my head off about everything and anything. The picture is of my two dogs and Yard Bird. I also have a cat now, but no pictures of her. People pass by my house and stare in wonder at the yard pets who shouldn't get along, but do. I also have the most beautiful black stallion I've ever seen. And he gets along with all the other critters that make up my land bound Noah's Ark. Did I mention my parakeet?
My main interest is in politics so I'll have plenty to say. Hang in there...
