Pet Peeves

One of the things that makes me angry is the lack of term limits in the House, Senate and Supreme Court. For some people, politics is the ultimate in job security and I doubt that was what the Founding Fathers had in mind. The presidency is limited to two terms (thanks to FDR), although there is a new bill to remove the presidential term limits so that B.O. (B.S.) can be "dictator for life" if he wants to. Hopefully it won't pass...

The arrogance that comes with a life-time appointment can be disgusting. After a few years, they get the idea that they can do no wrong and are infallible. Listen to Ruth Bader Ginsberg for a few minutes and it becomes crystal clear. They are accountable to no one, answerable to no one, and consider themselves above the law. Activist judges can change the law to suit themselves, and have (to the detriment of the country) more than once. Supreme Court Justices need term limits as much as Senators and Congressmen do.

  1. They all should have to have accountability, but as it goes the people like Frank, Boxer, Pelosi, Reid, and many other low lifes are in very liberal population, and will never have to answer for their dirty dealings.

Term limits is the only way to get rid of them for good.

  2. Term limits would furnish the accountability they're lacking, Lester. I still don't understand why some of these clowns keep getting elected! I wouldn't vote for most of them on a silver platter with an apple in their mouths! Way too much pork for me! LOL
