You know that 780 BILLION dollars the geniuses stole from the taxpayers to bail out failing companies and pay for ridiculous schemes and pork projects? Only 10% has been spent so far. That leaves 702 BILLION dollars to spend for something that will actually work.
How about if they just give every legal adult in the USA one MILLION dollars instead? The rest of the money could be used to start drilling for our own oil, building refineries, paying down the National Debt. It would get people to spend their money and build the economy, encourage entrepreneurs, create opportunities and get us off foreign oil until we can come up with something better.
Instead they'll pay for pornography, build bike paths, create a few very short-term jobs, find out why pigs stink, and do other things valuable to our culture. B.O. (B.S.)is taking credit now because it's still a recession and not a full blown depression... yet. Our economy only shrunk ONE% instead of the predicted 1.1%. Wow! I'm soooo impressed, aren't you?
